Dear Colleagues,
Thank you for joining me in this new venture, underwritten
by a generous grant from the Dedalus Foundation.
We will have our first meeting this Monday, January 31, 2005
at the City Hall Academy from 8:30 AM.
Please enter the Tweed Courthouse.
The Research Fellows Art History Project has been created
to encourage teachers and their students to engage in art history
research. The culmination of this project, the spring seminar at
the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum will give us the opportunity
to share our work with other educators, thus promoting greater city-
wide participation in art history research. We especially want to
interest more high school students in this type of study.
Consider focusing your research project on artwork that can be found
in a New York City museum. When we meet on Monday we will discuss
the entire program, the timeline of events, and of course the Dedalus
Art History competition.
If you need any further information about the meeting, please call
or e-mail.
I welcome you all to this new initiative and look forward to working
with you.
Regards,
Karen Rosner
