Hello. Which character are you, and what role do you play?
I am Brom Bones, the hero of the town.
Some people think you are more of a prankster than a hero, what do you say about that?
I am Brom Bones, so of course I can get a little mischievous at times, but all the sensible people in this town know that there is no harm in a little hoax.
Why do you think people look up to you?
People look up to me because, well, what's not to love about me? I am everyone's role model. I'm strong, I'm handsome, I give commands, I'm fearless, and all the ladies love me.
Speaking of ladies, how do you feel about Katrina Van Tassel?
Aye, I have the most beautiful wife in all the land. What's not to love about her?
Katrina has very high expectations; do you think you are living up to them?
I think—No, I know—I have far exceeded any expectations she had. I'd make any woman happy.
Do you remember Ichabod Crane?
Aye, I remember the fool. That lazy man would do nothing all day but read a book.
Most of the younger people in town believe it was you who scared Ichabod off the night he disappeared. Is this true?
(Brom gives a hearty laugh.)
People will believe what they want to. If they want to believe that it was I who scared away Ichabod, or rather it was some magical creature of sort, then so be it.
Now that you are married, do you and your gang still go around playing jokes on people and getting into fights?
You can take a guy outta fun, but you can't take the fun outta a guy. Being married, I have settled down a bit, but I still go out and have fun with the guys.
