
Aaron Copland
Aaron Copland was one of America’s greatest composers of all time. His love for music grew as he got older and during the 1940s, his music career took a giant leap forward.
During his life, Aaron Copland received more than 30 honorary degrees and in 1945, he received the Pulitzer Prize for music. Aaron Copland began to modify his music into American folk style during the 1940s. This modification was a huge success. His works included the ballet Rodeo, Appalachian Spring, Lincoln Portrait and also a few music pieces for films such as Of Mice and Men, Our Town and The Heiress.
At the age of 90, Aaron Copland passed away. He had not only spent his life as a composer, but he was also a writer and teacher in the Berkshire Music Center.
