
U.S. Bombs Japan
The Bombing of Pearl Harbor took place in Hawaii, on December 7 1941 on the island of Oahu. The attack was a surprised attack. At dawn, six Japanese carriers, 181 planes flew out of them; all of them had torpedo bombs. The Japanese bombed more than 90 ships. After the 181 planes came and bombed the harbor, another 170 planes came and did more bombing. Those planes bombed the battleships.
The attack ended a little before 10:00 a.m. The US had to pay a huge amount of money. Twenty one ships of the US either had sunk or have been damaged. One hundred eighty - eight aircraft had been destroyed and 159 were damaged. There were 1,178 military and innocents were killed.
The Japanese lost very few aircraft. Everyone was shocked on that day, no one was expecting this. All the ship were repaired but 3 of them. One of them was too old, another had a lot of damage, and the other was just not worth it.
