Ancient Civilization Homepage

 Kenton

Kenton is an accomplished sixth grader at Nathaniel Hawthorne Middle School 74. His role in the “Three Ancient Civilizations” website was to  design, plan, and write the Egyptian website, as well as hunting for pictures. To Kenton, the THINKQUEST competition was a fabulous way to learn how to design websites. The hardest part of this project was the uploading of the website; a lot of things went wrong.  Kenton thinks it will come out fine, and he deserves a break.

 Amanda

Amanda is a sixth grade student at Nathaniel Hawthorne Junior High School 74. Her role in the Ancient Civilization project was working on an amazing site about Ancient Egypt. She researched many facts as well as making the website look awesome. She is very happy to be a part of this contest and this experience has taught her a lot about web design and Ancient Egypt. This information may come in handy in the future. If this website wins the contest, she will be very proud. She would thank everyone involved and everyone who helped.

 Mirit

Mirit is a proud sixth grade student at Nathaniel Hawthorne Junior High School 74. Her role in the Ancient Civilizations project was to research and write about Ancient Greece. She also had to look for pictures on line (“which”, she says, “is very hard to do”). She researched many things about Gods and Goddesses, and also decorated the site. She is very excited to be working on this project. If her website wins the contest, she will be very proud and happy.  She would like to thank everyone who took their time to show her how to get something done, and all others who helped.

Nicole

Nicole is a  student at Nathaniel Hawthorne Junior High School 74. Her role in the Ancient Civilizations project is to research facts and to design the website on Ancient Greece along with her partner. Nicole is very excited that she and her partner are working on this project.  Nicole's part of the project was to find information about Ancient Greece. She will be very proud and happy if her partner and her win the contest. She would like to thank her partner, her teacher and all the other people who supported her along the way.

 Jared

Jared is a sixth grader at Nathaniel Hawthorne School MS 74. His role in the "Three Ancient Civilizations" project was researching Rome. Jared was responsible for researching facts, tracking down pictures, and making the website look amazing, along with his partner Lina. We also had to search for backgrounds and come up with the layout. Jared is very exited about working on this project. If he wins, he would be very happy and proud if our team wins the web design contest. He hopes all of the work he and his teammates did will all pay off in the end.

Lina

Lina is a six grader at Nathaniel Hawthorne Junior High School 74.  Her role in the Ancient Civilization project was to research and write facts about Ancient Rome.   She also made her site amazing and interesting to read along with her partner Jared.  Together we also found pictures and made the backgrounds.  I personally think that the "Three Ancient Civilization" websites are a good learning experience for anybody who wants to learn about these amazing civilizations from long ago.  I would be very happy if we won the contest and that all the hard work we did really paid off.  I would also like to thank my partner, and teachers with all the other people that helped and supported me with the project.
