This project explores the current study and condition of Vietnamese Monarch Butterflies. This site hopes to inform as well as entertain adults and children.

While we focus on those beautiful Monarch Butterflies of Vietnam, we include those of North America. We examine how the Vietnam War affected the lives of these innocent creatures. This project was a collaboration with researcher and specialist Dr. Bonita Coleman, who traveled to Vietnam for Earthwatch and National Geographic to study these magnificent butterflies. We have documentation through research, photos and interviews that will take you to Vietnam, the Bronx, and California.

Through interactive games and online activities about the Vietnamese Monarch Butterfly, we hope for a better understanding of the importance of nature and what is happening around the world. We would like children to see themselves and the butterflies as part of a larger world, one whose environment needs intervention to prevent further destruction.
