We conducted a simulation where we pretended we were merchants. We made up a supply list for miners listing the supplies they would need in order to spend a week in the gold fields. We purchased our supplies from the supplier (our teacher) . We then set prices (secretly) and created a poster. We invited a class to pretend to be the miners. They had to buy all the supplies on the list with the fifty dollars we gave them.
