Christ The Redeemer is one of the most visited monuments in the whole world. It is located in Rio
de Janeiro in Brazil. It stands on the Corcovado Mountain and overlooks the city. The statue stands 100 feet
or 30 meters tall. Work began on the statue in 1927, and it was dedicated on October 27, 1931. To visit
the statue, you take a road or a train. To reach the base of the statue, you can take an elevator, an escalator,
or you have to climb 222 stairs to get all the way up there!
