......Fish are animals with backbones that live in water. That makes them vertebrates. There are more different kinds of fish than all of the other vertebrates put together. They look so different from each other that its sometimes hard ot believe they belong to the same group of animals. They came in all sizes, colors and shapes. All fish have two main things in common. They have a backbone which makes them vertebrates and they breathe mainly through their gills. Nearly all fish are also cold-blooded animals—that is, they cannot regulate their body temperature, which changes with the temperature of their surroundings. In addition, almost all fish have fins, which they use for swimming.
.....Fish are very important to humans.They are food to millions of people around the world. Some people fish for sport, and other people keep them as pets. In addition, fish are important in the balance of nature. They eat plants and animals and, in turn, become food for other animals and provide nutrients for plants. Fish help keep in balance the total number of plants and animals on the earth.
