Its stone towers were the tallest most massive structures on the continent. The Brooklyn Bridge is 5,989 ft long. They called The Brooklyn Bridge the 8th wonder of the world. The Brooklyn Bridge is 122 years old. It is more than 100 feet above The East River. It was finished in 1883. It was built so the people who lived in Brooklyn had an easier commute to Manhattan.
