Imagine walking barefoot down the street stepping on broken pieces of glass and hookworms entering your body through your feet. This is reality for the people of Africa. This is the reason why we have to do something about it. We as the more fortunate people should give back or help those who are not as lucky as we are. If you are thinking that one person cannot make a difference you’re wrong.
One person made a difference. That person is Toby Tanser. He created the organization Shoe4Africa.

Toby Tanser says, “It began with a simple act...

In 1995, a runner was living and training in Africa. Though sponsored by a major sportswear company who provided him with state-of-the-art gear, he saw that many other serious runners in Kenya had no suitable shoes. Immediately, he began giving away his extra sneakers, and passing on his old pairs instead of throwing them out. When runners he'd given shoes to began breaking records and winning medals at important races, he realized that something as small as a single pair of shoes could completely change a person's life. It was then that he began reaching out and asking others to donate their own used shoes, and Shoe4Africa was born.”

This organization is about donating old running shoes to those that need them in Africa. In Africa, one sport that they love is running, but most people can’t afford to buy any sneakers. We want to help, so we dedicated our site to support the Shoe4Africa organization. In our site you will learn how you can support this invaluable cause.  You will find information about how to donate shoes, about the many people that donated shoes, AIDS awareness, current projects, how we helped, and the incredible success of Shoe4Africa.

We hope you become as inspired as we are!
