Amusement Parks At

Coney Island

There were many amusement parks that were created at Coney Island. Many people rich and poor, went to the amusement parks to have fun, enjoy the rides, and eat food. The amusements parks became very popular in the 1880s. Many of the famous amusement parks burned down; Steeplechase, Dream Land, and Luna Park. One owner sold tickets to see the burned down amusement park until he rebuilt it.

Luna Park Luna Park was a big success in 1903. It was just as succesful as Dream Land. The entrance to Luna Park was beautiful. It had a big red heart in the middle. It had an Electric Tower with lights all over it. The most popular ride during the year 1903 was, The Trip to the Moon. There was a ride called Helter Skelter, which was a big slide. Luna Park cost fiifty cents to get in. Luna Park was definitely an exciting part of Coney lsland.	Steeplechase Park Splish and Splash kick up your feet Steeplechase Park is the place to be. Steeplechase Park owned some of the beach and also had a huge swimming pool.Some rides in Steeplechase Park were,The Giant Sea Saw and the Jumping Floor, and the Parachute Jump. In the summer time many people would go to Coney Island to cool off ,and would go to Steeplechase Park too.The most popular rides in Steeplechase Park were, Drew Drop Spiral Slide.You had to climb fifty feet high to get to the top then you would side all the way down to the bottom. This park burned down in 1907.
Dream Land Dreamland was the most amazing, creative amusement park out there during the 1900s. It was where people went during their spare time. They went to Dreamland amusement park to enjoy the exciting rides, see the lights, and look at the Dreamland tower. Some of the wonderful sight being seen and shows that took place at Dreamland were Bostock's Circus, Canals of Venice ride, and Japanese Tearoomand Fighting Flames. There was also a place called Liliputa where 300 midgets lived. Dreamland burned down in 1911.	Astroland Astroland was built for the whole family. One of the first thing you saw at Astroland was the Cyclone! The Cyclone is a rollercoaster. The ride is a fast and furious ride that have been used by many people since the 1900's.

Luna Park
