Inca Mountains over Machu Pichu

 Most of the Inca lived in the Andes Mountains. The high stony mountains were snow-capped and had steep gorges.  The Incas built bridges to cross over the gorges. The gorges also served as a means of protection, if an enemy attacked the Inca would burn the bridges.
