The Aztec Empire, because of its many different types of geography had a variety of weather. It was steamy and humid in the rainforest, and freezing in the mountains. June to October was the rainy season, with flooding and thunder storms. At other times in the year, there were often droughts. Tlaloc, the rain god, was believed to control the rain. When Tlaloc was angry, Aztecs believed that rain poured, and they often sacrificed children to appease this angry god!
