Madagascar
has it’s own
cuture and tradition.The
people living in Madagascar
are called
the
Malagasy people.Malagasy
people love to dance
and sing but not
to all kinds music
like other countries.
Some people think
this tradition is
alive and kicking
throughout the country
in many ways.
Malagasy
traditional clothing
is the Lamba. Lambas
are made for
women and men but
only women wear
them outside of
the home. Lambas
have many other
uses besides clothing:
sunglasses
and hats, parasol,
special sun shields
in cars, baby harnesses,
picking up hot things,
oven gloves, cloths,
blankets, baby wipes,
tissues, carrying
bundles of things,
bags, and mats to
sit on to name a
few. Malagasy people
are mixed of Asian
and African parts.
Researchers believe
the island was unhabited
until 2,000 years
ago, when Indonesian
sailors settled
here. The Malagasy
come from different
places like African,
Arab, French, Indian
, plus creole and
comoran.
