“If you bully somebody face to face, and they get upset, you see them cry and be hurt. When it's over the Internet, you can't see the emotional reaction and go along thinking it's no big deal.” ~Robin Kowalski
We all know what bullying is... but what's CYBER BULLYING? Cyber bullying is harm inflicted through computers, cell-phones, and other devices between teens and their peers. Websites and applications that are most known for cyber bullying are Myspace, AIM/AOL and Facebook. There are different types of cyber bullying. One way of cyber bullying is direct messages through teens such as social networking sites or text messaging. There is also cyber bullying that involves someone else doing all the work a.k.a. the accomplice. Examples of cyber bullying is a kid getting death threats while using AIM/AOL or texting, this can also happen through pictures and videos. Passwords are also stolen from profiles and the cyber bully would possibly change the information and talk to strangers. There has also been situations were teenagers sent inappropriate pictures to one another either through email, social networking sites, or text messages. Once something is sent in those ways, it can be passed around to tons of people who they might not even know within minutes. Impersonation can also do a lot of damage the cyber bully could pretend to be another person and trash that person's friends so the cyber bully would turn all that person's friends against them and it would be complete madness.
