Toothpicks and Chopsticks are frequently used in Chinese standard practice. In most Asian countries it is best to deal with pieces of food in your teeth by, taking one hand and covering your mouth and using the toothpick with the other. This process is normally used between meals because the Chinese believe that you should be able to taste each flavor of the food that you are eating, (assuming that the meal has a taste.) They are also acceptable for spearing pieces of food that is unable to consume with chopsticks. |
