Beer: The Drink Of Germany

Germany is a country that, for the most part, loves beer. Most adults drink beer. Some surveys show that 67% of women and 91% of men drink beer.

The Sumerians were the first people to discover the fermentation process, about 6000 years ago. This process passed through many civilizations until it reached the Teutons, the ancient Germans, who regarded Beer as a sacrifice to the gods. Around 800bce, the first proof beer was produced by the Teutons. Throughout the middle ages, a favorite occupation of the monks was beer brewing, because beer was drunk at almost every meal.

Now, hundreds of years later, people all over the world, and in Germany, drink beer as a part of their daily lives
