Jupiter is the fifth planet in our solar system and the largest planet in our solar system.

orbit: 778.300,000 km from the Sun
   diameter: 142,984 km
   mass: 1,900e27 kg

Jupiter is the forth brightest object in the sky. The first brightest object is the Sun, then the Moon, then Venus, and sometimes Mars. In 1610, four of Jupiter's moons were discovered. Those moons are, Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto. These four moons are known as the Galilean moons.

Jupiter is 90% hydrogen and 10% helium with a little bit of methane, water, ammonia and rock.

Three layers of clouds in Jupiter's atmosphere are believed to have ammonia ice, and a mixture of ice and water

Jupiter has one feature. This feature is the Great Red Spot. The Great Red Spot is an oval red spot that is 12,000 by 25,000 km, big enough to hold two Earths.

Jupiter gives off more energy than it receives from the Sun. The core of Jupiter is about 20,000 K. Jupiter's magnetic field is humongous, it stretches past Saturn's orbit.

Jupiter has rings but they are very faint.
