Steve,
Hi,
Many thanks for hosting my colleagues it was much appreciated!
Hope you are well and have recovered from our visit! Margaret, Lynnette and Kirstin have just about recovered from their ‘jet-lag’ and have returned to the land of the living.
In response to your question about reciprocal teacher exchange. Unfortunately, the British Council funding does not stretch to funding return visits from overseas visitors. They work on the basis of the Government who had originally hosted the visit the British Council had funded would be the place to look for the next funding stream.
I was wondering, therefore, if there is the equivalent of the ‘British Council’ in the USA would will fund such visits. We would be delighted to be involved and act as your hosts. Margaret had told me that we have much we can learn from each other.
I would be more than willing to act as the contact for any US department who would be willing to work with us. Let me know what you think.
Once again, Many Thanks
Cheers
Ian
