Queens' Melting Pot

     Our website focuses on the various cultures that can be found in Queens, New York. New York is often referred to as a “Melting Pot” because of the considerable number of cultures that occupy the small area. We will be investigating further into some of the multicultural towns of Queens.

     The communities researched are Woodside/Sunnyside, Howard Beach, Flushing, Astoria, Glendale, and Jackson Heights. Each webpage discusses the cultural history, present inhabitants, structures, and location of the community. They are complete with flash animations, digital pictures, and lengthy descriptions.

     Our aim for this assignment is to enrich ourselves as well as our audience with a better understanding of Queens’ diversity and culture.
