With today`s computers and technology the hobby of Amateur Radio is in decline, I am attempting to kindle some interest in the younger generation to take up this hi-tec and interesting hobby to keep it alive. Dave
Hi Steve, Thank you for your Award, and thanks for taking the time to evaluate my site, I really appreciate it.

I have placed the Award on my `Awards Page 8` (No 45), , and provided a link back to your site. Thanks for the helpful recommendations, I am a silver surfer, self taught, and quite new to all this, receiving constructive feedback is the only way that I can learn on how improvements can be made. I will apply your suggestions to my site in due course.

    Thanks Again and Best Wishes,
Dave. (MW3XDB) (my Amateur Radio callsign)

Good Housekeeping Site of the Day
Good Housekeeping's Site of the Day
  • Newton's Castle was featured as Good Housekeeping Site of the Day on October 7, 2005.

Here's a copy of the feature draft:
    October 07, 2005
    Newton's Castle

Our friends at ThinkQuest, the site that awards postings to student developed sites in their Library, have informed us of a recent addition, Newton's Castle. Newton's Castle is 'a fun filled educational adventure into the life and legend of Sir Isaac Newton.' As Newton himself said, "If I have seen further than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants." Now you too can stand on the shoulders of this giant by taking this 'stimulating journey' into his revelations. "Learn about his discovery of Gravity and Optical Theories. Learn why cars roll uphill, why dogs chase cars. . ." After you've finished your tour of the Castle be sure to take the quiz for a preview of the Museum of Modern Art opening. Be forewarned, it's not the crip quiz that it appears to be!

Appreciate your thinking of us. I do the student/children sites on Fridays.
The teachers will love this one!

Dear Jim, I've developed an online version of the TIPS WebQuest check-off which can be easily adapted to collect, collate and verify projects' compliance by participants. http://users.erols.com/sjfeld/tipsppa.htm Let me know about its applicability. I would like to develop a similar form for the PowerPoint component.
Best wishes,
