Music is an important part of Mexican culture.  The Indians used drums, flutes, rattles, and seashells, with their voices to produce music.  Folk music is also popular in Mexico.  This music tells stories about the struggles of the people.  Today mariachis perform in restaurants and along the streets.  Mariachi groups usually contain singers, guitar players, trumpet players, and violinists.
