There are many kinds of plants and animals in Mexico. This is because the land and climate  all over Mexico is different. As the climate changes in the different parts of Mexico, so do the plants and animals. In the dry northern regions are plants such as all types of cacti (cactus), evergreens and thorny shrubs and bushes.

The Central Plateau and lower parts of the mountains there are savannas (grasslands), and many trees in the forests like oaks and pines.

They have many types of plants. Mexico has orchids, cactus, chrysanthemums, and poinsettias. Different  kinds of flowers grow in different places in Mexico.

The cooler north, in the mountains has some large mammals such as  wolves, bears, coyotes, foxes and deer. The tropical regions of Mexico has jaguars, cougars, ocelots, tapirs, monkeys and anteaters. There's even a creature called the burro, which means "beast of a thousand uses," that can be found throughout the country.

There  are also small mammals found in Mexico like the spider monkey, opossums, and armadillos. The popular and smallest dog in the world comes from Mexico. It is the Chihuahua.

 

Mexico also has many kinds of birds. There are quetzals, flamingos, hummingbirds, and parrots. Their beautiful feathers color the sky. Mexico even has vultures.

In Mexico's waters there are many different creatures. There are all sorts of seafood, like catfish, tuna, bass, sardines and shrimp. There are reptiles like crocodiles, and there are mammals such as dolphins and whales.

There is all kinds of life living in Mexico.
