Mexican people could teach you to be a pro at soccer. It is one of the most popular sports in Mexico.   There are professional and amateur teams in Mexico.  You will see many people playing soccer during their free time.

Mexicans like a lot of action.  The sport of bullfighting is very popular. Most of the large cities in Mexico have bullfighting rings.  Mexico City has the largest bullfighting ring in the world.  About 55,000 people can watch a match there.  Bullfighting is when the matador (the man fighting the bull) tries to escape from the bulls deadly horns.  He has to stop the bull with a large spear.  It is very exciting and dangerous.

Mexicans like to play Jai Lai for fun. It is a game that was invented in Mexico.  It is pronounced "Hi Lie". Two teams play this game. The object of the game is to catch the ball and throw it against the wall.  This may sound easy, but it really is hard.  Jai Lai is one of the fastest moving games around.  The ball can travel at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.
