The ancient Aztecs were highly sophisticated for their time period. They learned how to build advanced temples where they worshipped their gods. They used thousands of highly skilled workers and built massive temples made of marble. Besides building humongous buildings, the Aztecs also had many skilled craft makers, including jewelry makers, goldsmiths, and pottery crafters. Jewelry makers might make a variety of jewelry, including obsidian knives used for tributary purposes. Goldsmiths use technology to aid them. They use hot charcoal to help then melt gold. The Aztecs also created sun stones, which was a calender. Much of the agriculture depended on the accuracy of these sun stone, so these sun stones had to be precise.
