The earth monster that was here before the earth was created also created the moon and the stars. Her name was Coatlicue. Her daughter’s Children went up to heaven. Coatlicue found a ball of hummingbird feathers she tucked them in her dress this incident made her become pregnant

Soon after words she discovered that she was pregnant. Her children were ashamed of her when they found out she was pregnant. “Who is the father of your child?’’ the children demanded.” I think it was that ball of hummingbird feathers!” she said. But no one believed her. Her children decided to kill their mother, for a god could have only given birth once. Coatlicue soon discovered of her fate and began to run.

The bottom part of her body went flying into the air and crashed into the seas which formed the earth and the other half went to the heaven. Then Huitzilopochtli went to the heavens to rule over the moon and the stars. Then Coatilicue traveled to earth to make sure the earth had fruits and berries. The Coatilicue had a baby boy named Quetzalcoatl the feathered serpent who then created the first humans. The way he created man was from grey ash.
