Tenochtitlan and extra Geography about the Aztecs

The Aztecs main land was in the middle of a huge lake in Mexico. The name of the city was Tenochtitlan. Then they built a causeway that connected the Aztecs to the main land of Mexico. On the main the land they started to make chinampas. Chinamaps were areas on land that floated on the water. The Aztecs then planted crops on the land. The water would then continually get watered. In the area that the Aztecs lived it was very hot and humid. In the present day mexico the the city and lake of Tenochtitlan has been built over.
