The change of global climate effects crop growth.  Lately, there have been a lot of droughts, floods, and storms causing many fruits and vegetables to be uneatable.  As the weather changes, there will be periods of drought followed by periods of storms and floods.  If a drought happens in the early stages of the crops, it will ruin the fruits and the vegetables as well as other vegetation.  Floods and storms will wash the crops away and farmers will have a hard time to grow their crops due to the poor conditions of the soil.  However, some scientist believe that Global Warming will have a positive impact in agriculture because plants need carbon dioxide to grow. Other scientist believe that although carbon dioxide will help the crops to grow, we may lower the nutritional value of the crops.  As of now no one is sure of the effects of Global Warming in agriculture. They do know that it will effect the growth of crops. What do you think? Take a poll.

Agriculture
Flooded crops

Floods affect agriculture by destroying the crops. Floods also destroys wildlife habitats and increases diseases in wild animals and humans who live close to the floods.

Dry Crops

Warmer weather affects agriculture too. The plantations are much too dry, then the plants don't get enough water. Plants need water to grow.  If the crops can't grow, then less and less people will be fed. The food will be more expensive and people will not be able to buy them. As a result, some people will die from starvation because of no grains, vegetables and fruits.

By the year 2050, the predicted population in the world will be 9 billion people.  With the rise is temperature, the effect on growing vegetables and needed medical plants will be hindered.  With every 1 degree rise in global temperature, the grains, rice and wheat  growth will be nearly 10% less.  In summary, the hotter our planet gets, the less the food it can produce.
