Global warming is
caused by a blanket of pollution that traps heat
around the earth. This pollution comes from cars, factories,
homes, and power plants that burn fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and
gasoline. Air is all around us. Air supplies us with oxygen
to breath.
Air
pollution includes smog, carbon dioxide, methane, as well as other
polluted gases. For example diesel smoke is the black gas that
comes
from burning fuels in cars, homes, and industries. Another type
of
pollution is noxious gases which are sulfur dioxide, carbon
monoxide
and nitrogen oxides. Pollution is not only found outside
our homes,
but also inside our homes, schools, and work places. Pollution
inside
our homes includes tobacco smoke, cooking, and heating appliances. In
order to control air pollution in our home, school, and work place, we
need to have adequate ventilation.
