Aerial: living by air

Biodiversity: The number of species in a given habitat.

Burrows: A hole dug in the ground by an animal for habitation.

Camouflaging: to conceal by the use of disguise or by protecting themselves by blending their skin color in their surroundings.

Canopy: Is home to many different types of birds, insects, reptiles, mammals, and more. It is the upper part of a rainforest tree.

Conservation: They are made to protect wildlife and natural resources.

Emergent: Top layer of a rainforest tree. It houses most of the birds and insects in the rainforest.

Endangered Species: Specie threatened with extinction.

Epiphytes: A plant that grows on another plant which depends on mechanical support, not nutrients.

Endemic: restricted or peculiar to a locality or region

Extinction: Disappearance of species from the earth.

Fellness: A fierce specie

Forest floor: Many animals live here. It is ground level.

Habitat: The area/environment were an organism or ecological community normally lives or occurs.

Hectare: a metric unit of area equal to 100 acres.

Herons: A wading bird that has a long neck, long legs, a long pointed bill, and white g

ray or bluish-gray plumage.

Hodgkin's disease: A fatal disease of unknown etiology.

Jungle: land densely overgrown with tropical vegetation.

Latex: The colorless or milky sap of certain plants.

Leukemia: a deadly blood cancer

Meat Eaters: Animals that eats meat .

Medicine man: is somebody who believed to heal others by using supernatural powers

Nutmeg: An evergreen tree.

Poaching: Illegal hunting or fishing.

Pollen: Powder like material consisting of pollen grains. It is produced by the anthers of seed plants.

Predator:An organism that lives by eating other organisms.

Prey: an animal hunted by other animals for food.

Rain Forest: a dense evergreen forest occupying a tropical region with an annual rainfall of at least 2.5 meters

 

Reptile: an animal that is cold blooded, has scales, and can lay eggs.

Rosettes: Two to four spots inside of a black ring, on the jaguars fur.

Smugglers: Someone who imports or exports without paying duties.

Stockier: Solidly built.

Subspecies: A division of a species (a smaller group).

Understory: A cool environment under the leaves which is where you can find many animals.

Vegetarians: An animal that eats only plants (no meat).

Web footed: having feet wth webbed toes.
