Your rabbit needs fresh water daily in a bottle or a dish that
won't tip over. Rabbits are herbivores. That means
they eat plants. Good quality hay, grass, alfalfa or clover and grass clippings
should be offered daily. Other foods like
lettuce, spinach, alfalfa sprouts, carrot tops, beet greens, carrots, and apples can be offered in small
amounts daily. It shouldn't be given in huge amounts because they are water-
rich and lack the nutrient density of the pellet diets. Rabbits develop a
preference for these items over pellets if they are offered in large quantity.
Rabbit can have table food items given in little amounts. Not too much just like
any pet. This is especially true of rabbits fed in this fashion from an early
age. Many rabbits love to gnaw. Small dog chew toys are often accepted as
challenging gnawing substitutes. Some rabbits like yogurt. Most rabbits
will accept yogurt at a young age. You can add pineapple to yogurt daily.
