Hunting in Alaska: Hunting in Alaska is regulated by laws, for hunting and trapping animals. Animals hunted in Alaska are black bear, brown bear, caribou, wolf, elk, deer, moose, mountain goat, and ptarmigan. Each kill must be reported in order to keep the Alaskan animal population in check and regulated. Hunting in Alaska is open to both residents and non-residents. All non-residents must be accompanied by a guide during a hunt. Harvesting tickets are needed after each kill. You may not use someone else’s ticket, and therefore must stay true to the bag limits of each animal. Permits and Licenses are required to hunt in Alaska, resident or non-resident. |
