Hunting in Georgia:

In Georgia to trap you need a license and also need a license to sell fur. The tapping season is from December 1st through February 15. Hunting licenses in Georgia are a bit different than other states because senior citizens who hunt have to have a special license called the Honorary License. Those who are disabled can get this particular license as well. Residents who live in Georgia are to have a license.  Those individuals who are non-residents have to have a license as well. If you are younger than 16 years old you have to get a non resident license to hunt especially deer. To carry a specific weapon in Georgia, like a bow and arrow. You also have to have particular licenses to hunt specific animals such as bear, turkey and deer. The most you will spend on license fees is about $500.00 for residents only, for non-residents the most you spend is $118.00.

The rules that apply in Georgia while hunting is you can't use drugs, poisons, chemicals, or smoke to hunt animals. You can't bother the animals while they are in their homes. You can't hunt across a road because then you can shoot a citizen. When hunting in Georgia, you must wear a certain color, such as hunter orange. A hunter can't hunt on lakes or on places that say that it is prohibited. The best places to hunt in Georgia are the Quail Country Plantation and the Pine Ridge Hunting Plantation.
