Hunting in Illinois:

The state of Illinois is well known in the Nation for their trophy hunting of the whitetail deer, and eastern-strain wild turkeys. In addition, they have a large number of upland game choices for hunting. These choices include great hunting for pheasants, bobwhite quails, rabbits, and squirrels. The state also offers excellent waterfowl hunting opportunities for both duck and goose, and also migratory waterfowl seasons for ducks and geese. To hunt the animals using a bow and arrow, the season date is October 3 through January 12. To hunt animals using a shotgun, the season date is November 18 through December 4. To hunt animals using a muzzle loader, the season date is December 9-11.
