Hunting in Iowa:

The state of Iowa allows the trapping of certain animals, each during different seasons. Groundhog from June 15 - Oct 31. Beaver from Nov. 5 - Apr. 15. And mink, coyote, fox, opossum, skunk, badger, weasel, and muskrat from Nov. 5 - Jan. 31. These animals and many other animals all, also, have seasons for which they are to be hunted with rifles. Each animal also has a bag limit. For example a jackrabbit has a bag limit of 4 daily. But some animals have no bag limit and there is no restraint on how many of the animal you may hunt per day. An example of this is the raccoon, which has no limit on how many you can kill daily. Shooting hours are different for each animal as well. An example of shooting hours for an animal is, half an hour before sunrise to sunset for the fall turkey, while the ruffed grouse is hunted from sunrise to sunset.
