You cannot hunt while riding a horse meaning you can't shoot while on the horse. You can't have the dogs hunt the animals such as deer. Hunters must have a hunter safety card as well. Shooting hours are one half hour before and one half hour after sunrise. Also when riding your vehicle make sure that you pistol is not loaded.

The hunting season is from September 24 through January 16. The state law in Kentucky is a bit different than the other states because a child could go hunting at 6 years old. Children who are hunting from the age 6-16 years old are supposed to have permission from the state saying that they are going to hunt and they must always carry it with them. When hunting in Kentucky they must always carry their licenses and permits and anything else that says that they are allowed to hunt. The most you will spend on a permit and license is $25.00.  Hunters must have a hunting education in this state as well.

The animals that are hunted in Kentucky are deer, elk, turkeys, and bears. For each of these animals you have to have a license or permit. People use guns, and bow and arrows to hunt.
