Hunting in North Carolina: Hunting hours in North Carolina in waterfowl impoundments is between 4am and 1pm. Decoys are allowed to be used, but cannot be set before 3am. Using a shotgun with shotgun shells filled with any type of chemical or toxin is prohibited. Hunting under the influence of alcohol is not allowed. Animals alive may not be taken out of the hunting area. Certain size and caliber rifles are banned and may not be used during a hunt. And rifles are totally banned during turkey season. |
