Hunting in New York: Hunting in New York is divided into 4 different zones. The Northern Zone, Southern Zone, Westchester County, and Suffolk County. Each zone has its’ own hunting seasons. The Northern Zone’s hunting season for regular hunting is Oct. 22 - Dec. 4. For Archery it is Sept. 27 - Oct. 21. For early muzzleloading the dates are from Oct 15. - Oct 21. And lastly for the Northern Zone, Late muzzleloading is from Dec. 5 - Dec. 11. In the Southern Zone, regular hunting season is from Nov. 19 - Dec. 11, early archery is from Oct. 15 - Nov 18, late archery is from Dec 12 - Dec. 20, and muzzleloading is also from Dec 12 - Dec. 20. Westchester County and Suffolk County both regular season dates begin on Oct. 15 and end on Dec 31 and you are only able to hunt by archery. |
