Hunting in Washington:

Washington is one of the few states in the United States that is blessed with many natural features, including mountains, forest and prairies, which provide habitats to a great variety of wildlife species. Washington offers Roosevelt elk and rocky mountain elk, several species of deer including the black-tailed deer, the black bear, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, migratory game birds and cougar hunting.
Washington also has many hunting seasons to keep hunters occupied all year. Deer season last from September 15 through November 23. Elk season last from October 29 through December 8. Black beer season lasts from August 1 through November 15. Cougar season lasts from August 1 through 15. Bobcat season lasts from September 6 through March 15. Raccoon season lasts from September 6 through March 15. Fox season lasts from September 6 through March 15. Coyote season is open year round.
