1. Ever want to just search for something on a particular website? Well, you're in luck! Google allows you do that from within its search engine.
Example: site:besttechie.net windows
That will search besttechie.net for anything that has to do with Windows. For search results click here.
2. What if you wanted to search a word that could mean more than one thing? No problem, with Google's search you can exclude words very simply. Let's say you wanted to search the word live (which could refer to live music at a concert or "live" as in someone who is alive and breathing) however wanted to exclude search results doing with live music.
Example: live -music
That will search for "live" that doesn't have to do with live music. For search results click here.
3. Let's say you want to search a specific phrase or want exact search results for your search query. Once again, not a problem. All you do have to do is add quotes to your search query.
Example: "tech support"
That will return results with exact phrase "tech support". For search results click here.
4. Aside from searching, Google can also act as a dictionary. Google will look on multiple sites to give you a number of defintions of the word you're looking to define.
Example: define:media
That will give you multiple definitions of the word media. For search results click here.
5. Want to know the weather of your current location or place you'll be traveling to? No problem, Google has you covered. Google can also check the weather!
Example: weather new york, new york
That will give you the weather in New York City for that day as well as an extended forecast. For search results click here.
