The rise of Ancient Rome was 510 B.C. During this time there were many accomplishments, for example, the Colosseum, which still stands today, and the Arch of Titus. Family, Roman games, clothing, and language were all part of culture. The Romans' language was Latin, which influenced French, Spanish, Romanian, Italian, and Portuguese. The Roman Empire also had law and government; their first set of laws was called the Twelve Tables. This is one of  the few remaining documents of Ancient Rome. The Roman military was the strongest army the world has ever seen. It contained five thousand to six thousand trained soldiers of different ranks. There were many emperors. Some were Julius Caesar, Augustus, and Claudius. The Roman Empire fell in 476 B.C., when they were defeated by Germanic people.
