Monkey Business

After 83 years, a new monkey has been discovered in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, Africa that has produced a lot of buzz and interest.

Pemission Granted by Dr. Tim Davenport

William Stanley of the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago reports: "This is exciting news because it shows that the age of discovery is by no means over."  Dr. Tim Davenport, who led one of the two teams that discovered the kipunji (kip-oon-jee) monkey, said of this incredible event, “There, bathed in orange sunlight, was the most bizarre monkey I had ever seen…My first words are not printable, but then I added breathlessly, I think this is a new species of mangabey.”  But he was wrong; it wasn’t a mangebey at all!  As you will soon learn, it was something more exciting.

To celebrate this discovery and to help raise funds to support the Southern Highlands Conservation Program, you decide to start Monkey Business, Incorporated.  This new business will cater to tourists that visit the Southern Highlands of Tanzania and who want to help with the ongoing conservation efforts to save this critically endangered primate and its home. By selling souvenirs, you will help raise much-needed money.

Obviously, to start your business, you will need merchandise to sell. You will have the opportunity to stock your shelves with kipunji merchandise as you navigate through our website, learning about this fascinating mammal
