The First Competition for Teachers: The 2009 TQNYC Fundraising Competition!
ThinkQuest is calling all New York City teachers to participate in a citywide fundraiser.
Great Prizes for creativity, teamwork and raising the most money!
Prizes include:
An Apple iTouch for the first fundraiser to reach $1000 in donations OR an Apple iTouch each for the first team to reach $2000.
Apple iPod shuffles for the fundraisers who:
- collect the most money,
- get the largest number of individual donations, and
- use the most creative ways to fundraise.
So put on your thinking caps and help TQNYC reach our goal of $10,000 by August 10th.

Attention Digital Media Competition Teams!
As the deadline approaches and you are finishing your projects, remember that you will need to upload your movie to Vimeo.
In order to help with that we have 3 new tutorials covering how to save your project to a movie in the best format for Vimeo uploading.
- Saving for Vimeo
Gives general information as well as settings that may apply to a variety of video editors.
- Windows Movie Maker and Vimeo
Gives specific instructions on how to save your movie when using Windows Movie Maker.
- iMovie and Vimeo
Gives specific instructions on how to save your movie when using iMovie.

TAKE TWO - Due to overwhelming request The NBC Universal Digital Media Competition has re-opened registration for one week!
Starting today March 11 through March 18th, you can register your teams for the NBC Universal Digital Media Competition.
Here’s how!
- Read the Competition Rules
- Go to: http://www.tqnyc.org/dmcregistration/ to complete the registration form (a PDF step by step tutorial is here: http://www.tqnyc.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/dmc_reg_tutorial.pdf)
- After completing the form, a confirmation with your TEAM ID will be sent to the head coach.
