TQNYC Internet Challenge Dates & Deadlines

These are the dates for submitting TQNYC Internet Challenge entries and announcing finalists.

A Complete Site = All files uploaded and tested, and the Site Profile completed. You must be logged into your coach account to finish the Site Profile. Review the checklist. A tutorial featuring our recommendations on uploading can be found here.

May 5th- Extra Credit Deadline
Get ‘extra credit’ by finishing early. This will allow time for any problems to be fixed and to avoid ‘unavoidable’ problems like servers being down, blackouts and natural disasters.

May 8th- 12pm (noon)- FINAL Deadline
After noon on the 8th, you will not be able to fix your site or upload any files. Oracle will close the server and there will be NO way to make ANY changes. AT ALL. PERIOD. That’s NOON on Friday, May 8th. There is NOTHING that can be fixed after that point. Got it?

(Now you understand why we made the “Extra Credit Deadline”!)

First week of June (Date TBD)- Finalists Notified
You will receive an email will the good news. This means that you and your team will receive an award on June 9th.

June 9th- Awards Event

All participants are invited to demonstrate their projects from 3-4:30. Then from 5-6:30 prizes will be given to Finalist teams.

June 19th- Winners Announced on Oracle’s Website
Winners with links to their sites will be posted on Oracle’s site and included in their international library.

June 30th (or sooner)- All Entries Posted on TQNYC.org
We think that ALL student work should be displayed and celebrated. We will be hosting your projects on TQNYC.org for you to share with the world!
