Intro
Although the term Digital Media can be applied to anything audio or video related done on a computer, here we will focus on creating videos.
Why learn about Digital Media? Why have students create Digital Media Projects?
- Audio and Video are two useful and popular means of distributing information. The popularity of Podcasts and video sites such as YouTube and Vimeo are evidence of this.
- Portable devices such as iPods, cell phones, and other media players (e.g. portable game consoles) can be used for listening to podcasts or watching videos and a growing number of people use them for this purpose.
- Creating a video (for example) is a group effort in which everyone can participate and focus on an area that they are most interested in including: research, writing, art, music, acting, as well as the technical aspects of video editing, special effects and so on.
